seems like every time i tell someone that i write poetry they, think "yeah right, everybody wants to be a rapper what makes you so different." well, i honestly can't answer that, and whether that makes me less of and emcee is up to you guys but this is just a sample of what is to come assuming that i can get a studio fund together *lol lay-a-away lol* but anyway here's an older poem that i wrote listening to some Lu and thinking about the state of music in general no particular genre just music hope you enjoy, please comment too! kinda long i know, but its entitled the MIC.
The MIC
The first time i held the MIC was a breakthrough
Salvia-less flow still i manged to breakthrough
blessing rhymes with there blessings and currency
Sonic is a free product of life's downloads and others are disorderly
going thru the motions roller coaster derailed progression
throwing up gang signs boy scouts learn a lesson
almost a fast break kit kat rappers acting out at night
maybe from lack of self respect or love, giving others insight
my first time holding the MIC was a dream
everything in my mind makes sweat shop rappers a glimpse into what it really seams
Martin Luther can only say so much needing the intervention
P.S. the bio's on T.V. will never tell us what were missing
but i don't have the scratch to catch the bus
honestly i'd rather walk then succumb to a label makers trust
Its something that i'd never ever do again i think backwards

Okay, i cant really explain the rush i'm feeling right now, like i feel like that kid that got the sexist,thickest, most limber chick on the cheerleading squad to have his children, THATS HOW MUCH THAT CONVO INSPIRED ME!!!!!! I WISH I COULD EXPLAIN IT BETTER BUT I WILL OFFER THIS AS A STARTER AHHHHH!!!, THAT CONVO WAS THE SINGLE MOST NERVOUS CONVO I'VE EVER BEEN IN! BUT IT WAS A DOPE NERVOUS! MAINLY B/C OF THAT ROOTS TRACK, BUT ANYWAY, I YOUTUBE'D EACH OF THE MC'S ON THE COVER AND C.H WAS FIRST, THE FIRST TRACK I HEARD WAS "NOVEMBER 10TH" WHICH WAS A SAMPLE FROM CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY WHICH WAS DOPE!!!!!!!!! Sonic help!!! These Bots are back!!! SIKE!!!
What up???
kinda late for a post but whateva' *on my sonic sh*t* lol, anyway the reason for this blog is b/c many people that THINK they know/knew me, have NO IDEA what there were gettin into by that i dont mean strictly friends, girlfriends or anybody that gets into youtube messages battles about who i think is wack and WHY there better then ANYBODY before or after, but whateva, my voice on music isnt just MUSIC its instinctive, now by that i dont mean MADE FOR ONLY ONE PURPOSE, but i DO believe that a lot of people that support there favorite artist or artists have NO IDEA WHY they support them!! lmao!! everybody can hear but not everyone listens, let me repeat everyone can hear but not everyone listens, BUT that is expected when the people that make GREAT music in MY opinion, dont get the rep they deserve, Let me get this out the way now, so people wont hit me with stupid comments: CHARLES HAMILTON HAS BARS!!!!!! anyone that thinks other way doesnt understand the history of MUSIC and being a MUSICIAN not just artist or rapper. *what up sonic*. People fear what they dont understand, b/c it makes more of a point to hate on someone or something when others like it then it does to LISTEN and make you own DECISIONS, i remember when Kanye first came into the industry people were like "WTF??" but now look at him in his own words he even said " you wont be able to think about music without mentioning my name." deep, but true, and you have to respect and honor someone with that type of personality to just take over everything in a short period of time, so give all the utmost respect to 'YE, Cons, GLC, Really Doe, Kid Cudi, 88 Keys, and all of good music, dont worry there's a reason why a chose Sonic and Kanye as my topics of discussion tonight, mainly b/c there just that dope at what they do, but personally there the only 2 MC's/producers that i could see myself kickin with on a daily basis and not get starstruck, *well, maybe a little.....lol*, but really, confidence gets a bad rep in MUSIC period not just hip hop, i rememeber reading in Jimi Hendrix's bio that Little Richard was jealous of Jimi and he said somethin along the lines of " no one can look better then me." but if you put that in the context of music now, sonic and 'ye are like NO ONE CAN F*CK WIT ME! and there backin it up every step of the way, and if you think i'm lying check ANY youtube video or interview and BOTH mc's/producers are like " yeah i'm me, who are you?" but not in a cocky way which is what i respect the most about them, not to say that ASHer or Cudi or WALE or B.O.B or any other young up and comin mc's are just cocky and outta control, but here's the thing an MC is more then just a rapper that stands on stage and spits a memorized song, then gets a check and bounces to the mall, NO!! and MC is a Master of Ceremonies, which means that they know how to take control of a crowd on and off the stage, let me put in into perspective, any MC can be a rapper, BUT no rapper will EVER BE AN MC, i don't care how many mixtapes you release or how much autotune you use, sorry :(!!! being a mc is MorE *ME, lol*of an lifestyle then a career choice, its easy to tell the difference between the two, the easy explanation is that A RAPPER IS A PERSONALITY, most rappers can't be there self in ANY situation, no matter what it is think about it! think about your favorite rapper, first then picture then doing something normal, something totally out of the ordinary you couldn't! rappers are MADE mc's are BORN. A real MC isn't afraid to express themselves and arent afraid to be A REAL PERSON!! how many "rappers" start out with a 9-5 then become big stars and FORGET that they are real people?? smh.

People fear what they dont understand, b/c it makes more of a point to hate on someone or something when others like it then it does to LISTEN and make you own DECISIONS, i remember when Kanye first came into the industry people were like "WTF??" but now look at him in his own words he even said " you wont be able to think about music without mentioning my name." deep, but true, and you have to respect and honor someone with that type of personality to just take over everything in a short period of time, so give all the utmost respect to 'YE, Cons, GLC, Really Doe, Kid Cudi, 88 Keys, and all of good music, dont worry there's a reason why a chose Sonic and Kanye as my topics of discussion tonight, mainly b/c there just that dope at what they do, but personally there the only 2 MC's/producers that i could see myself kickin with on a daily basis and not get starstruck, *well, maybe a little.....lol*, but really, confidence gets a bad rep in MUSIC period not just hip hop, i rememeber reading in Jimi Hendrix's bio that Little Richard was jealous of Jimi and he said somethin along the lines of " no one can look better then me." but if you put that in the context of music now, sonic and 'ye are like NO ONE CAN F*CK WIT ME! and there backin it up every step of the way, and if you think i'm lying check ANY youtube video or interview and BOTH mc's/producers are like " yeah i'm me, who are you?" but not in a cocky way which is what i respect the most about them, not to say that ASHer or Cudi or WALE or B.O.B or any other young up and comin mc's are just cocky and outta control, but here's the thing an MC is more then just a rapper that stands on stage and spits a memorized song, then gets a check and bounces to the mall, NO!! and MC is a Master of Ceremonies, which means that they know how to take control of a crowd on and off the stage, let me put in into perspective, any MC can be a rapper, BUT no rapper will EVER BE AN MC, i don't care how many mixtapes you release or how much autotune you use, sorry :(!!! being a mc is MorE *ME, lol*of an lifestyle then a career choice, its easy to tell the difference between the two, the easy explanation is that A RAPPER IS A PERSONALITY, most rappers can't be there self in ANY situation, no matter what it is think about it! think about your favorite rapper, first then picture then doing something normal, something totally out of the ordinary you couldn't! rappers are MADE mc's are BORN. A real MC isn't afraid to express themselves and arent afraid to be A REAL PERSON!! how many "rappers" start out with a 9-5 then become big stars and FORGET that they are real people?? smh.

FIRST BLOG EVER!!!!!!!!!
What up What up What up!!!!
How is everyone???? this is the first blog entry ever!!!!! my name is Bryan Thunder and i'm a up and comin poet and musician, i've been thru a lot of ups and downs in my life and i'm at the point in my life where i can express them ANYWAY i want too YES!!! *LOL*.
This blog will filled wit random facts about life and things i find interesting, maybe not so much to others but interesting to me at least! lol.
before you guys say anything heres the story behind Bryan Thunder:
Tallen Bryant is my government name, but like many girls have done in the past, people can't say or spell Tallen to save there life, so i decided once i figured out that i wanted to make music for the rest of my life which wasn't a hard decision for me to make, i started writin poetry first just as a way to express myself and say things that i didnt know how to talk to someone about, my first poems kinda sucked *lol* personally, but i gave a couple to my friends and teachers and they gave positive feedback for the most part, so i was like "hmmmmm, maybe i have something here??" lol. so i took others advice and kept writin' and perfectin' my craft, it wasnt until EMINEM's first album that i wanted to pursue music profesionally, seein that people could tell stories but make funny and relatable to everyday life was amazing to me, b/c most of the rappers in TX when i was growin up werent really speakin on anything relatable to me and what i was goin thru, i mean i was 15 and i never shot anybody or sold any type of drugs so i couldnt really relate to what they were saying to say the least, so instead of followin the crowd i started listening to bands like Sum 41 Blink 182, AC/DC and many others which was frowned upon by my follow classmates, notice i did not say friends b/c i dont have many friends just assiocates and family, i believe that people dont really except things that are different, but me on the other hand i got into othere genres b/c of the fact that rap music back then was so repetitive that all the artists began to run together, but with rock,jazz,folk, classical and so on your possibilities are endless as far as music goes, but back to the whole name thing a ThunderDuck is the mascot of the college that i attend *shoutout to my homie Money, i see u* but most attend college just for an education and finding a siginficant other, but for me i was always into learning about myself FIRST then retaining knowledge from books so with that said it was only right that i chose the place and helped me mature as a man not only as a student so thats where the Thunder comes from and the Bryan is my last name w.o the T. *lol*. First blog kinda dope!!
